Helping Hands Burpengary Meadows bake cookies for sister school

A sweet delivery! We’d like to share with you a guest post from our Helping Hands Burpengary Meadows Coordinator, Kylee.

“This week our children participated in community involvement by assisting with preparing, cooking and packing 36 packs of 10 cookies for the Burpengary Primary School Fete Day tomorrow.

The children enjoyed participating in the cooking experience, and loved knowing that the product would be sold to benefit another school.

This experience also opened up conversation about what else and who else they could cook for. They acknowledged that some families cannot afford treats for Christmas and that some elderly do not have families or loved ones visit them for Christmas. So they thought Christmas cookies or gifts would be a great idea closer to Christmas.”
